Graduation So Close!!

| | Comments (4)
Hey readers, I hope everyone reading this is having a great summer like I am.  Lets see, I guess I should catch you all up with what's been going on lately.  Well, I finished my Spring semester off strong, so what a relief.  I was also blessed enough to be allowed to walk in this past graduation ceremony!  The Kelley School ceremony was amazing and I had a great time.  My WHOLE family came to visit from New York, and even some of my relatives from the "dirty south".  My older sister was able to make it with my two little nieces who know me as Uncle D.  It was nice seeing my family again for a few days, especially since I will be in Indianapolis for the rest of the summer.

Well, I'll update you all on how things are going now.  I am taking my capstone courses over the summer, so I will be an August 2009 graduate.  This is my first summer here in Indianapolis and away from home and I'm loving it!  There's so many conventions and events going on downtown every week.  That's good for me because I hate to be bored.  I will be posting some more summer updates and let the you know how my wild and crazy summer is looking.

Yours Truly,

Derrick "The Grad" Sullivan

I'm in the Building!!

Hello America!

Well, looks like I am officially a blogger now.  I know I'm a little late, but better late than never is what I always say.  I guess it's only right that I give a formal introduction. My name is Derrick, and I am a senior in the Kelley School of Business for business marketing.  I am an out-of-state student from New York City.  I always get the question: "Why did you come all the way from New York to Indiana?"  Then, I always respond: "Have you ever lived in New York City?"  The ones that answer "yes" know why I chose to be in a nice, clean city for college.

This school year has been a tough but rewarding experience for me.  I survived I-Core last semester and even managed to boost my GPA some.  It took a great deal of hard work though.  At least I had the best professors: Smith (hard as nails but extremely smart), Donahue (always has jokes and entertaining), and Ippolito (a real character and avid Star Trek fan).  I have to add too that my group's final project involved the most delicious Cajun food I've ever had: Yats!  Mmmmm.

Well, I have to go now but I will be posting more recent updates on my life.  Believe me, there's soooo much I have to tell you all.

Yours truly,

Derrick a.k.a D-Money
