Survey for market research class..I need your help!

| | Comments (0)

Hey everyone,

I am working on a group project in my M303 class and our group needs some responses for our survey. If you'd like to participate and help my group get an A...click on the link below and fill out the following survey about cause-related marketing. It shouldn't take more than 4 or 5 minutes and you'd be doing me a huge favor!

..But what is with people who don't pull their weight on group projects!?

It is true; every group has slackers, people who go-with-the-flow, and leaders.

C'mon Slackers at least pretend to be doing something..draw a pretty pretty picture in your notebook or get on ebay and look at clothes that might not fit you after you buy them. If I'm going to be pulling your weight at least act happy, just don't sit there and gripe and complain about not understanding whats going on or even worse..stir up trouble. You're wasting our time and your time at the Kelley School of Business for crying out loud! Its amazing that a senior in college still expects to be spoonfed. All I gotta say is....Thank you peer evaluations.

Have you ever had this problem? Go ahead, use this space to talk about your frustrations.

Usefulness of University Libraries

Are you researching for a project and can't find good or reliable sources? You should check out the Library database resources that are available. The information on these databases are gathered by professionals and most professors appreciate the use of these sources. These databases aren't cheap and our tuition helps chip in for the cost.

If you go to www.iupui.edu   --> Academics --> Libraries --> University Library website.

Once you are there you have a couple of options for how you research your topic. If you want to find articles about your topic go to:  Find Articles and more --> Databases A-Z

Some databases that my professors have suggested:

  • Mintel
  • Factiva
  • MediaMark
  • RDS Business Reference

There are tons of other databases that may be useful too.

Don't forget to manage your time

I am studying for an exam for one of my marketing classes this weekend and I have a couple of due dates creeping up for some major semester projects. If I find myself getting stressed out I get back to the basics of time management.

  • Find out where you are wasting your time.
  • If you already don't have a planner, you might want to invest in one. It will help you plan out your week.
  • Rank your obligations and assignments with priority.
  • If you are doing group work ask for help if you need it and make sure everyone is pulling their weight.
  • Try to get into a routine so that you can think about more important things while you are doing your routine activities.

These seem like really simple things to do but they can be easily forgotten when you start stressing. Just stick to your plan and you'll get through it.

Gotta love senior year!

Hey, my name is Dan and I'm a senior here at the Kelley School. Its funny how I always thought my senior year in college would be like my senior in high school..kind of laid back, a lot of fun and a breeze. Haha not at all..so far this has been my hardest year. My schedule is jam packed with group meetings for projects and I feel like I never have time to just sit down and enjoy the finer things in life..music, a good book, or just hanging out with friends. When that time comes though, it really makes you appreciate it. So, I guess my expectations were very wrong to say the least. I sit back now and think how great it will be able to go to work, come home and not have to do homework. Who knows, I might be in for a surprise..

I'm  glad to be able to blog about our school and have the opportunity to let people know whats going on around campus. It's pretty cool that we have technology like blogging available at our campus to let students get more involved and even have a part time job in between studying and going to class. I never knew that blogging existed until a professor brought it up in class. I'm glad that this found me and I'm looking forward to keeping these coming!
