I studied all weekend. I studied all last night. I studied last Friday. The moment of truth was today... and I feel like my head was empty for the duration of the test. Moreover, it looked and sounded like everyone else's head was just as empty.
So, I've decreed that tonight will be a movie night: 2 hours of brain-dead fun. But that's right after I get done studying for another test, as well as finish a term paper. Oh, and that's after I get home from classes. Oopsy, that's right after I conquer the world with penguins, too.
Finals are crawling toward their prey, the students of IUPUI, constantly gaining on us. Soon enough, it will be snowing, stores will be selling every conceivable object decked in red, green, gold, and mistletoe, and students will be downing unhealthy amounts of coffee just to stay awake in classes. Don't you love the holiday season? But of course, between the coffee and mistletoe come the papers, presentations, and group assignments all due the week before finals!
I am striving to reach my goal: to make it to winter break. If I do that, I get the satisfaction of knowing I made it through my roughest classes and will continue on to brave Spring Break. The cherry on top will be getting my grades and knowing I tried as hard as I could and gave the tests a run for their money.
